This website describes what we do. It isn’t a contract, a price quote, or a guarantee of results — if we work together, a separate written agreement covers that, and it’s the document that counts. The words and images here are ours. Don’t scrape the site or try to break it, and we’ll get along fine.

Agreeing to these terms

By visiting lokalmediahawaii.com (the “site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. These terms are between you and Lokal Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

What this site is

The site exists to explain who we are and what we build. Everything on it is general information for business audiences. Nothing here is an offer to enter a contract, a binding price, a proposal, or a commitment to take on any particular project — and submitting the contact form doesn’t create a client relationship or any obligation on either side.

How engagements actually work

If we work together, the scope, fees, timeline, deliverables, confidentiality, data handling, and everything else will be set out in a separate written agreement signed by both of us. That agreement governs the work. If anything on this website conflicts with it, the signed agreement controls — full stop. Descriptions of services here are illustrative, and what we actually build is what your agreement says we’ll build.

Content on this site is general information, not advice tailored to your business, and reading it doesn’t make us your consultant. Technology, marketing, and operations decisions depend on specifics we don’t know from a web page. Please don’t make a significant business decision based on this site alone — talk to us, or to another qualified professional, first.

Any figures, case studies, examples, or descriptions of outcomes on this site reflect specific past engagements under specific conditions. You’re welcome to view the site, share links to it, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy, republish, resell, or repurpose substantial portions of it, or use our name or logo to suggest an affiliation or endorsement that doesn’t exist.

Acceptable use

When using this site, please don’t:

Use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected system
Interfere with the site’s operation, security, or availability
Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or contact information, by bot or otherwise
Submit false information, impersonate anyone, or send spam through our forms
Upload or transmit anything malicious

What you send us

Unless we’ve signed a confidentiality agreement covering it, please treat anything you send through this site as non-confidential. We handle inquiries with discretion and describe our practices in the Privacy Policy, but the contact form isn’t a secure channel for trade secrets, credentials, or sensitive records. If you send us an idea or suggestion unprompted, we’re free to use it without owing you compensation.

The site may link to websites and tools we don’t operate. We include links because we think they’re useful, not because we’ve vetted or endorsed everything on them, and we aren’t responsible for their content, practices, or availability.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to this site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, and you agree those courts have jurisdiction. If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
